The Porsche 911 GT3 R will be available in Spring

The new Porsche 911 GT3 R is set to be delivered to customer ready to race, which would replace the GT3 Cup S in the Porsche Motorsports’ model range. The 911 GT3 R will compete in the FIA GT3 series. While developing the car, they set out to improve the driveability of the car, as well as improving handing.

The GT3 features a 4.0l V6 boxer engine, which puts out about 480bhp. A 6 speed sequential gearbox transmits the power to the rear axle. Demand for the new GT3 R has been huge, says Uwe Brettel, Head of the Motorsport Sales; They’ve almost sold out of the cars that they planned to build in 2010. The Porsche 911 GT3 R price starts at 279,000 Euros and will be available in Spring.
