New Gumpert Apollo to debut at Geneva next month

Gumpert will be coming to the 2010 Geneva Motor Show to show of it’s revised Apollo model. The new Apollo will get a revised carbon fiber aerodynamic package, but more importantly to its fans, it will get 750 horsepower. The reduction in bhp is certainly interesting, as they were offering the Apollo Speed Version with 800 bhp, but it could be that they save enough weight by outfitting it with carbon fiber that they were comfortable dropping some bhp and still get the same results in performance. The top speed is set to 224 mph, with a 3 seconds time from 0 to 60.

Hennessey Venom GT to debut in April

It seems that another player will be joining the already crowded supercar segment. The new player is Hennessey Performance with their Venom GT. Even though, they were planning for a Geneva debut, unfortunately, they will not be showing of their Venom GT supercar at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Instead, they picked the Goodwood Festival of Speed in April to make their first appearance. Reason for canceling Geneva was due to the lack of space in Switzerland. Autoblog reports that testing of the 2,400-pound twin-turbocharged V8 coupe is underway. Stay tuned for more specs and pictures.

TechArt 911 Turbo to debut at 2010 Geneva Motor Show

Even thought the Geneva Motor Show is a few weeks away, the press releases have started going out. This is also the case with Techart and their tuned 911 Turbo. They will be unveiling both, a 911 Turbo and a 911 Turbo S. The improvement in the Turbo came via two seperate aerodynamic kits, which redueced lift and improved the airflow. The uprages also include forged wheels, which will be available up to 20 inch. A small roof spoiler not only adds to the visual appearance of the roof line, but also generates additional downforce. The guys at Techart also spent some time with the interior. They actually give you a choice, so it can be completely outfitted with the finest leather. The 3-spoke sporty steering wheel, aluminum pedals, dials in individual colors, or stainless steel entry strips embossed with the Techart logo are all installable – it’s your choice.
