Mercedes CLS ‘Shooting Break’ debuts at Beijing Motor Show 2010

The new Mercedes Benz CLS will make its entrée at the Beijing Motor Show this year.
The car is based on the concept named Shooting Break! (Break not Brake). This will be one of the most eye catching concepts out of the Mercedes lot.

The car is one of its kinds and does not inherit much from its ancestors. Shooting Break is a concept and the car when out in the market will be the next generation Mercedes Benz CLS.

The car does have a full length centre console which is popular amongst the most recent high end cars. Powered by a V6 engine, 3.5 liter producing 306 bhp. The ones who are not satisfied with these figures there is always an AMG version, this one would be a 5.5 litre V8 turbocharged engine producing 560 bhp.

Talking about the exteriors completely stylish and sporty one needs to check this car closely because it looks like a coupe but actually its not it has four doors, the car will not fall in the segment of corporate cars as the first impression of the car is something like a holiday car, the one you would take along on get away. However it will make people in your office go crazy about it too.

As a whole it’s a completely futuristic and a modern design.

Features that demand attention are the full LED headlamps, only LED technology is used to provide the entire headlight and taillight functions the head light is divided into three
layers out of which the third one is an indicator.

If the exteriors are the cream of the crop the interiors should be of the same class, the interiors are completely hand crafted, the flooring is wooden and upholstery is complete leather.

People who are wondering why it is called a ‘shooting break’. Break or the homonym brake stands for carriage used in the 1960s and shooting break is a vehicle used when out for hunting or shooting animals.

Though the awesome looking vehicle looks like a ‘Shooting Star’ instead of a ‘Shooting Break’.
