Lamborghini and some Carbon Fiber

Using carbon fiber seems to be a trend amongst the high-end car manufacturers these days, Lamborghini also adopts the same method to shed out some unnecessary weight from the car which definitely improves the performance, efficiency and reduces the emission levels as well.
Carbon fiber once only used in airplanes is now commonly used in the high end cars as we mentioned recently about Audi using carbon fiber for the roof of its M series and now Lamborghini follows.
Lamborghini has established the Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory (ACSL) at the University of Washington, Seattle. Lamborghini plans to make optimum use of carbon fiber in each car possible.
But still Carbon Fiber is not every car manufacturer’s cup of tea; material helps a lot in reducing weight and making the car more efficient but costs a huge amount so one can not expect the same material to be used in our daily use passenger cars for the next few years.
The entire carbon fiber structure of the car weighs only 668 pounds.
