Aston Martin Rapide, Power & Beauty combined.

am3 Aston Martin Rapide, Power & Beauty combined.
The Aston Martin Rapide is the most talked about car in 2010. The concept was introduced long back in 2006 the car was one of the most awaited cars in 2009 and was finally introduced in February 2010.

The Aston Martin is often compared with the leaders in the market like Porsche, Porsche Panamera.

As all the other AMs this one is also loaded with power and full of beauty. The car seems just perfect. No doubt the car looks beautiful but that’s not the only thing when you sit behind the steering wheel you can actually feel the car; you can actually feel the soul of the car.

A hand built 6.0 liter of V12 engine is responsible for the power which delivers 470 bhp. The six speed touchtronic automatic which allows the driver to change the gears automatically or manually via the paddles mounted behind the steering.

Something which is different about this car is the 4-doors, yes surprisingly it is a 4-door sports car.

Its perfect combination of ‘Power’ and ‘Beauty’ all together.

VIDEO: Aston Martin Rapide vs Porsche Panamera drag race

While the Panamera is surely not the best looking car in the world, it sure is powerful. The guys over at Autocar did a small comparison test between the Aston Martin Rapide and the all new Porsche Panamera. We certainly don’t want to spoil the results for you, so go ahead and check out the video. There is one thing we do want to say though, his closing statement is a bit questionable.

The Aston martin One-77 isn’t just all about speed, even though it has no problems reaching the 220 mph mark, but it’s also about elegance and luxury. You see, this supercar has it all, power and beauty, along with a lot of luxury, which makes it one of my favorite supercars. Check out the gallery below and see for yourself.

2010 Aston Martin Rapide – A super luxury sports car

2010 aston martin rapide 100232248 l 554x369 2010 Aston Martin Rapide A super luxury sports car
If you were to ask the Aston Martin CEO if the Porsche Panamera is a threat to their Rapide, then he’d flat-out deny it. According to the CEO, Ulrich Bez, Rapid is .. “the only four-door sports car in the world,” which makes you wonder what he thinks is the Porsche Panamera then. Either way, the Aston Martine Rapide is around $200,000, which is a lot more than the price tag of the Panamera ($125,000 to $175,000), so maybe they are not even targeting the same demographic.

Bez expects to sell around 2000 to 3000 cars a year, which would amount to around one-third of all their car sales. They sure have high hopes for the Rapid, so these statements from the CEO are not really surprising.

In case you didn’t know, the Aston Martin Rapid has a 470-hp V-12 and six-speed paddle-shifted automatic; with a 0-60 mph time of 5.3 seconds, it sure as hell will take you to its 188-mph top speed in no time.
