Hennessey Venom GT to debut in April

It seems that another player will be joining the already crowded supercar segment. The new player is Hennessey Performance with their Venom GT. Even though, they were planning for a Geneva debut, unfortunately, they will not be showing of their Venom GT supercar at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Instead, they picked the Goodwood Festival of Speed in April to make their first appearance. Reason for canceling Geneva was due to the lack of space in Switzerland. Autoblog reports that testing of the 2,400-pound twin-turbocharged V8 coupe is underway. Stay tuned for more specs and pictures.

The Spyker C8 Aileron out on a photoshoot in Italy

Not so long ago, Spyker released official pictures of their C8 Aileron. As you you’ll see in the image gallery below, the Spyker C8 is just beautifully designed, but that’s of course only have the story as the internal components are as special as the outside. The car was created with super-light aluminum space frame, that reduces weight and helps the 4.2 liter V8 engine with 400 hp and 480 Nm of torque move much faster, in fact, it goes from 0 to 100 in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 300 km/h. It’s priced at 189,990 Euros. Fun fact: The Spyker cars don’t have door handles, they have a button next to the rear-view mirror that you press, so don’t embarrass yourself when you go out for a test drive.

VIDEO: A Russian Supercar – The Marussia
Russians aren’t just spending their new wealth on foreign cars and luxury items, they have started to produce their own line of expensive stuff. One indication of this is the Marussia Supercar, which as you can see in the video looks like a cross between the Veyron and the Pagani Zonda. The cool things about the Marussia supercar is not only the fact that it has a JDM engine, but it is a hybrid drive. The ruskies went a step ahead and equipped it with things that you don’t really see with these types of cars, hell, you don’t see some of these things on a Mercedes-Benz. Bluetooth, 10 meg per second 4G Yota network, GPS, full color LCD screens, plus a 320 gigabyte hard drive. Technical specs are still not known, but the fact that this is a hybrid (we’re guessing electric) supercar equipped with all the above gadgets, will lead us to believe that these guys will have chance to compete in the already highly competitive supercar market.

New Supercar emerges – The Revenge Verde

If you’ve never heard of the Revenge Verde, then we don’t blame you, as we haven’t either. Besides the unknown company, the look of the car is very similar, well that’s because it shares a good portion of the chassis with the discontinued Ford GT. While the appearance is definitely eye-catching and appealing, the powertrain doesn’t disappoint either. A Ford Racing V8 with 605 horsepower or the supercharged GM LS9 with 638 horses will be available. They put the 0 to 60 time somewhere between 3 and 5 seconds, depending on the powertrain chosen. Top speed will reportedly be over 200 miles per hour. Pricing is set at $190,000.

Gemballa Mig-U1 is a supertuned Enzo

Gemballa, a German tuning company has set out to create a perfect supercar. The car looks suspiciously similar to the FXX, but don’t be fool, it’s actually a tuned Enzo. As you’ll see in the pictures, Gemballa went all out, adding a roof scoop, jet-thruster-surrounds for the exhaust and black alloy wheels, which they claim gives the car 35 kg of downforce in the front and 85kg in the back.
Sure the Mig-U1 has had quite a visual makeover, but what did they do on the inside. Well it seems that the Gemballa will have around 700bhp from what they say was an ECU and exhause system upgrade. New racing wheels have also taken 16kg off the cars weight on each corner, so that’ll definitely improve the cars handling and braking if nothing else. Only 25 Enzos will get the makeover treatment, so chances are you won’t ever see one in real life.
