The Ferrari 599 GTO unleashed.
The Ferrari 599 GTO is no more under cover. Recently the pricing guide for the Ferrari 599 GTO was leaked and now the pictures. The heavily ventilated hood is apparent on the 599, which was necessary as well because the 599 GTO is loaded with a V-12 engine which produces 700 horsepower and a lot of heat which needs to be cleared.
The images below are sourced from a French Automobile site; the car is muscular for sure but a lot work is done under the skin as well.
Probably we’ll be able to get more info about the car by April.

Ferrari and Lamborghini betting on hybrid supercars in the future

Two of the leading supercar manufacturers in the world Ferrari and Lamborghini are rumored to be planning to take the plunge on the Hybrid scene. YES! You read it right, HYBRID… actually, even Maserati is seriously considering to follow suit. Maserati is now making the rounds on the Interwebs.
We have to agree with the boys at Inside Line’s suggestion, to make use of the hybrid technology from Ferrari. Both Maserati and Ferrari are owned by Fiat as we all know. The two companies have been sharing drivetrain components and technology. It is likely that the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) of Ferrari could also be seen under the hood of the three pointed Tri dent. Ferrari featured the (KERS) powered 599 HY-KERS at the recently concluded Geneva Motor Show.
Word has it that Maserati will also be joining Ferrari on its “weight loss” program. Weight reduction would ultimately give the two marquees remarkable performance and fuel efficiency. This will surely benefit both Ferrari and Maserati.

Ferrari reveals price of the 458 Italia, still too expensive for you!

Ferrari has finally decided to price its 458 Italia supercar. If you were hoping it will be a affortable for some reason, then we’ll have to dissapoint you. The 458 will cost $276,120, even though, many will say that the price is not justified for the fact that this might be the entry level Ferrari, others will argue that you’re not only paying for the car itself but for the name/status.
If you decide to add a few options, such as steering wheel LEDs or alcantara boot carpet, that will set you back $4,550 and $2,353 respectively. For those in the market for the 458, they will certainly not mind these “cheap” add-ons, for everyone else it, these prices are just outrages.
